Somercon is the Somerville’s latest and greatest nerd event, and so you know they sucked Sister Brother Freddie Anne Willing in like a black hole hungry for space sprinkles. SPACE SPRINKLES OF JOY. She gathered some special guests for the task: Boston Trophy Wife, Mike Hawk, and Raj Kirani. Dragged onto the stage for their DnDN debut was Novice Sister Ora Fixation. We were ready to run the latest game by Luck of the Harbor, Warrenguard. A thrilling episodic adventure TTRPG about found family and battling monsters on dragons you are psychically bonded with. We bumped it up a notch with the hack WarrenGuard and soon our riders were spouting the best townie accents as they “defended” the new English tea shop (The Fog) from a ceramic orange dinosaur.
An amazing time was had by all. We want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our fundraising efforts.
We had more help though. We needed it. Did you miss the part where I said Somercon was the latest and greatest? Running the infamously fabulous Dungeons and Drag Nuns raffle was Sister Jessa Belle, Novice Father Carm De Garcon, Novice Sister Cheri Tonnin and Novice Sister Florence Nightimpale. Caroline and the whole crew at Side Quest Books and Games, as well as the Danger Wizard team for putting on Somercon and supporting our mission. And of course, the wonderful staff at the Arts at the Armory.
We’ll see you at the next Dungeons and Drag Nuns. Keeping pursuing your joy, and don’t split the party.
