On the morning of Saturday June 13th, the Boston Sisters participated in in the annual Boston Pride Parade. In attendance, arrayed in a stunning and impressively coordinated rainbow, were Sisters KrisTall Mighty, Eunice X, Tori D’Affair, Sandra Musique, Gloria LeLuia, Frieda B. Fabulous, Rosetta Stone, and Lida Christ, Novice Sister Angela Merci, and Postulants Grace A’Gawd and Katya Kizm. The Sisters also had the pleasure of welcoming Novice Sister Allie Lewya, visiting from a far away convent (Washington, DC), our own Altered Person Nonye and her significant other, and our dear friend Jos.

The weather was typical for a scorching New England summer day by the time we began marching down Boylston St. and through the South End. The crowds were thrilled to see us, waving and shouting messages of encouragement and general happiness. The parade was briefly halted by a protest to commemorate the (reported) eleven transwomen of color who had been murdered across the United States during 2015- an admirable cause. Never the less, we arrived at the finish line located at Government Center reasonably on time, where we quickly posed for photos before joining our friends and other members of our community at The Alley to continue celebrating a successful Pride.
