On May 29th 2026 Sister Betty Esém assisted at the BAGLY’s Heels For Hope gala held at Artists for Humanity by helping to raise money at the auction table and spending time with guests greeting an meeting those who attended.
The event was a spectacular event of hope, love and charity of an amazing youth led and adult supervised organization ensuring the LGBTQ youth of today feel safe, loved and free to be and thrive.
The event was DJ’ed by Coleslaw, and hosted by Bearnaise Brown, with special guest Miz Cracker and other fabulous performances by Sticki Honey, Champána Bublé, and Jackie Onasty.
The evening raised thousands for BAGLY to ensure they can continue to their amazing work!
On a personal note from Betty. Organizations like BAGLY hold a special places in my heart. In my youth it was an organization like BAGLY in New Brunswick NJ that help me in my youth find community when I felt alone living at home on McGuire AFB. These organizations help give me a future and hope. I will always cherish my days meeting other youth and learning I was not alone.
