Pride & Passion (Boston Area PFLAG)

Dear Sisters, Guards, & Supporters,
On Friday, April 27, Point Nun Sister Eunice X was joined at The Convent for communal facing by Sister Esther O’Gen, Novice Sister Harry Magdeline, and Aspirant Sally Manilla.  We arrived at the Boston Copley Square Marriot just as registration for Pride & Passion was opening, and we assisted in greeting and directing the charming patrons as they arrived.
As the evening’s program got underway, we moved into the dining room to enjoy the opening speeches and then assisted  by collecting donor certificates during the request for direct charitable contributions.  After a brief dinner break, we returned to the dining room to spot bidders for the live auction.  Finally we enjoyed a very powerful address by the evening’s award winner, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey.
At the conclusion of the evening, we posted ourselves at the top of the escalator and wished everyone a safe and happy evening.  And we are thrilled to note that the event was anticipated to have raised over $750,000 for PFLAG!
The PLAG events are particularly enjoyable for us, because they permit us to introduce ourselves to a warm and welcoming segment of our community that is often less familiar with The Sisters and our unique method of service.
At the end of the evening, we returned to The Convent to deface, enjoy some quiet fellowship, and then say out goodnights to each other.  And there was much rejoicing.
Much love and respect,

Sr. Eunice X
