On March 10, 2014 Sisters Sandra Musique, Rosetta Stone, Eunice X, Kristall Mighty, Novice Sisters Gloria LeLuia, Tori d’Affair, and Lida Christ descended upon Saint Constance the B9 and Club Cafe like a beautiful swarm of locusts for Drag Bingo. This month’s charity was the Waltham House. The Sisters had known that Eastern Bank was bringing at least 15 people, the Valkyries were bringing a big group, and then the RuPaul’s Drag Race crowd, too. We weren’t disappointed, the room was packed. We had a wonderfully supportive crowd, especially once Eunice got raffle tickets (and patrons’ inseams) in her hands and KrisTall, Lida and Tori hit the floor with bingo cards. Our raffle prize was a one-of-a-kind Boston Sisters Monopoly game using pictures taken by the lovely Meg Birnbaum, aka Saint Meg-a-Pixel. The raffle brought in $195 and the winner was the charming Prince Royal Ronald of the Imperial Court.
After all the dollars were counted and verified, we brought in $1,289 for Waltham House! This also means we are just under $200 away from raising $30,000! in Bingo money since we started in July 2011! At the rate we’re going we might event reach $35,000 by the time our 3-year anniversary hits in July! Hallelujah!
