Dungeons and Drag Nuns is a series of live actual plays, where the Boston Sisters team up with local drag entertainers (and sometimes special guests) to play tabletop role playing games (TTRPGs) for the amusement of all. A mix of game, drag and improv show, Dungeons and Drag Nuns is always a new experience, with no continuous story between events. Every show stands on its own, and is a great show to make your first show!
With this series we are also trying to make a greater commitment to community. The show travels between different venues, and is performed on different days of the week, to try to make sure as many people as possible get the chance to come out. We try to keep ticket prices low (sometimes even free) and raise extra money with raffles. We have moved from playing Dungeons and Dragons, to highlighting a rotation of independent RPGs. We do our best to bring in a diverse blend of guests, whether that be non-white performers, performers of different ability, or just a mix of queens, kings and others.
Since we started the series in 2023, with your help we have raised over $7,000 for charity. Some of the charities we have benefited include: NAGLY, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Root Culinary, Creche Jubilee Housse, Lifebridge Northshore, Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, Salem Survival Program, Black Lives Matter New Hampshire, Drag Story Hour and the Theater Offensive.
Partners have included Boston Gaymers, Camp Gehenna, Anime Boston, Side Quest Books and Games, Boston league of Wicked Wrestlers, and PAX East.
