Sisters Faith, Jessa, Rosetta, Novice Sister Ava, Postulant Flo and Postulate Guard Luke, along with our friends Abby and Joe, gathered at the staging area in Providence RI for their annual Pride Illuminated Night Parade. While waiting for the parade to kick off, Rosetta and Flo grabbed some chalk and drew a hopscotch dance board on the pavement. We had a lot of people joining in to take a turn even a very pregnant woman. As the time past, we finally started to move around 7:45 pm. As we moved other marchers were cheering us on. As we passed a float with the local drag queens, they thanked us and blew kisses for all that we do for the community. As we turned the corner and got to see the large crowd which was an amazing sight. Throughout the whole parade, the crowd was cheering and making lots of noise for us. You could see the joy in their faces to see us. They were blowing kisses, giving thumbs up. RI Pride Parade always touches us in a special way. We showered everyone with our “Sister Bubbles”. RI Pride doesn’t disappoint. Always a great time.
